beta 3 not running cs in Second chart

I have only been running 180 sec charts of YM and NQ during NT7 beta testing

I have only run the same custom indicator.....which worked perfectly through beta 1 2 and 3

This morning my cs will only run on a 3 min chart....changing the data series to seconds results in the cs being removed from the chart....change it back to 3 min restarts the cs in the chart

opening a new second based chart and loading my cs also results in removal of the ind on the first tick

so it was fine yesterday in seconds and not this morning

there are no error message in Log or Output Window

I suspect something to do with session times....my indicator checks for open

only difference between today and running fine on sec charts ydy is the date/time....i.e. I did not change indicator at all

Unfortunately I would not be able to speculate without seeing it in action on a simple as possible indicator.

my user test beta 3 was able to run my cs on Second charts fine on his laptop but not his desktop computer....both after the YM close

I can not run my cs on either my laptop or desktop

I will strip code and try at my end again before sending in...thanks.

getting new error:

'Error on plotting values to chart data box for indicator 'mycs'. Please check the "OnBarUpdate" method. Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.'

did not get this in beta 2...nor in beta 3 yesterday

NOTE: the error message occurred not just for 'mycs' but also for NT's 'VOL' and 'VOLMA' indicators

I just threw VOL and VOLMA on a 180 secs chart for YM and NQ -> works no problem here. I'm not sure what these issues are you keep experiencing with your installation.

getting same error this morning...see pics...the errors print in the Log when I click the scroll wheel in the chart

if my cs has an index out of range in the same chart, can that cause VOL and VOLMA to print the same error?

Sorry, I would not know. I suggest eliminating variable of the equation in order to isolate the cause of trouble.

Sorry, you needed to be very specific in your instructions on how to reproduce:
- I tried a 180 secs of NQ chart with VOL and VOLMA on seperate panels, opened the databox as advised: no problem
- next I tried the mini data box: no problem as well
- next I relocated VOL and VOLMA to Panel1: again no problem on databox and mini data box

I have the problem down to one line of code... DrawText using a string array with Arial font

this same exact line of code works fine on Min, Tick, Range, Vol charts but not on Sec charts....if I swap out the string array from DrawText with anything else, it plots fine on sec chart

that is, on both of MY machines....one running Vista....the other XP

I have one user running the same code on beta3 on an XP machine with no problem on Sec charts

I have another user running the same code on beta3 on a Vista machine and an XP machine....both with no problem on Sec charts.....he has 2 hard drives on the Vista machine to test Windows 7 on which sec charts do not plot while min, etc are fine

I would guess the problem is a difference that my users are running imported code. However, I tested that by running on my XP machine by importing same as they do and can not get it to plot on sec charts...fine on min charts

all machines are running .NET 3.5 SP1

I believe I already suggested that on a different thread: Please try a different font to isolate if that would be the issue.

Problem Solved...by one of my users also beta testing nt7b3

nothing at all to do with fonts or my code

problem was session template

we had both created the attached session template for the YM via Instrument Manager

we then had the chart data series use the instrument settings for a session template....this setup ran my code fine in all charts except second charts

changing the session template to 24/7 in the chart/data series....on a 180 sec chart....solved issue...

changing in Instrument Manager for YM to 24/7 and then in chart back to instrument setting, also worked

problem is the new session template
