Strategy not saving

I have a strategy that I added on a chart and I save the parameters as the default. When I bring down NT7 and bring it back up again, the strategy is no longer in the control center strategy grid. What do I need to do to keep the strategy and parameters settings?

Okay, if I add the strategy again to the chart it comes up with the saved parameters so I don't have to reenter them. How wonderful! Is there a way to keep the strategy on a chart when NT7 is restarted so the strategy only needs to be enabled?

Yes, please save the setup (strategy applied to chart) you have in a workspace file, this would allow you to just reenable it after restart / reopening of your workspace then (it would show with small 'D' symbol in the chart then, which means currently disabled > click on 'enable' then in the Strategies tab).

Thanks. One more question. I'm running one strategy on two different Forex instruments (two seperate charts). Each instrument has its own parameter settings. When I enable the strategy for the first instrument, the strategy name cell turns green on the control center strategy grid. However, when I enable the strategy on the second instrument, its strategy name cells turns yellow.The strategy seems to be running for both instruments -- so why yellow?

Yellow means it is either pending syncing up or is not in any trades just yet. If you use "Immediately submit" in your Tools->Options->Strategies->NinjaScript it will auto start as green otherwise it will be in a syncing process till green.

Saving Strategies

Josh,

Can you save a strategy if you instaniated it through the strategy tab?

If so, will you be adding the ability to save strats started from the strategy tab?

It should already do that automatically when you save your workspace. Close your workspace with strategies in the strategies tab. As you restart NT with that workspace, the strategies come back up.
