    Zen-Fire Connection Problem

OK, I fired NT7 up on a Windows 7 64 bit Enterprise install. I choose NOT to move my 6.5 connections over, and I left 6.5 installed on the machine.

I ran the 64x version and quickly found out that Zen Fire does not support 64x. Hopefully, that will be resolved eventually.

I started the 32x version, set up a connection (Amp w/ Zen Fire) and I get the message "Login Failed. Please check your account connection parameters and your internet connection."

I verified that all three NT apps (6.5, 7, 7 64x) are allowed internet access via the Firewall, and I went into 6.5, rentered my login info just to make sure that is correct, and verified that NT 6.5 does connect to Zen (it does.)

I will move on to my Ameritrade test, but I am definately not able to move forward with Zen Fire.

    Thanks!
    Michael

PS: Ameritrade works fine on 32x (not on 64x.)

    To clarify:

    - You are unable to connect to Zen-Fire on 32-bit on your 64-bit machine
    - You are unable to connect to TDA running 64-bit on your 64-bit machine

        Thanks.

        - That would point to incorrect connection parameters. Would you kindly delete your NT7 32-bit Zen-Fire connection, restart NT and create a new connection and try. If that fails, we would need your logon credentials so we could try on our 64-bit machines. You could send this info to our support email address and include in the subject "For Ray" and reference this post. Thanks.

          Fixed

For Amp/Zen-Fire, the user name on the account is my email address. In comparing the user name defined in NT 6.5, the email address was all lowercase (though I format my email address differently.) So this was my fault; the user name (for Zen Fire at least) is case sensitive.

I am now connected. Thanks for your help!

              Can you please clarify?

Is the Zen Fire feed compatable with NT7 running in 64 bit?

                Thomas,

Zen-Fire is currently not 64 bit compatible. You will need to connect using 32bit version. You can however still use 64 bit functionality when doing things like backtesting if you already finished downloading the data you need into your database by switching over to 64 bit NT.

                  Thanks for your reply, Josh.

It appears the hardware is ahead of the software on the 64bit front. Hopefully everyone will be caught up after the first of the year.
