    Problem with 6.5 script D3Spotter

I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction in finding why i get this error.

I fixed the drawing errors and the script does compile.

However I get this error when loading on chart

Thanks in advance for the help

Please post a simple as possible (!) version of that indicator including all steps which are needed to reproduce the issue. Thanks

I got various of these log errors:
23.10.2009 08:26:44 Default Failed to call method 'Initialize' for indicator 'D3Spotter': 'BarsInProgress' property can not be accessed from within 'Initialize' method

I suggest stripping down you indicator to isolate the cause of trouble.

The indicator was written by David Anderson. He is not a beta testor so he does not have access to 7.0 Once the software has been released to the general public I am pretty sure he will update it.

              Hi Dierk

I have reduced the indicator as much as I could and still get message

I include both the message and the indicator

only step is putting the indicator on chart.

Please always your logs in case something goes wrong. I get various of these:
25.10.2009 10:18:00 Default Failed to call method 'Initialize' for indicator 'D3Stoch_only': 'BarsInProgress' property can not be accessed from within 'Initialize' method

Your indicator will not work unless these issues aren't resolved.

                  Dierk -

I am having a similar problem with a different indicator. Specifically, I am getting the error message " BarsInProgress property cannot be access from within initialize method." This appears to be the same message you were receiving when trying to run this indicator.

The problem I am having is the error message appears to be misleading or incorrect. I am not accessing that property within the initialize method -- so I am having difficulty what the error message is really referring to?

Thanks if you have any ideas.

                    Dierk

Never mind my question -- i found you had supplied the answer in a different thread.

My indicator was accessing TickSize in the initialize method. I would say it is difficult to identify/remediate that type of problem from the error message that is given.

                    Thanks,
                    Brandon
