Error changing DataSeries

I have a 4 Range chart of the ES 12-09 running and I want to change to a 5 Range so I click on the screen and type 5R but in the box it types ER not 5R. If I type it multiple times, it will eventually take 5R. I can reproduce the error just by taking the focus to another chart and attempt to type 5R. This happens when I use the number pad. If I use the use the numbers above the keyboard it enters the correct information. All numbers from the number pas produces letters or special characters when it it the first selection
