    Suggestion: allow for bars to be selectable

    Using data box is just ok. The problem with it is its highly sensitive to movement of your mouse. I can use cross hairs and stay on bar I want to analyze, but soon as I move my mouse away to say another window to Excel or whatever, inevitably the cross hair moves several bars over and I lose that one bar of data I was just looking at in Data Box (e.g., I need to work in another window but still reference this bar of data).

    AmiBroker platform has a nice technique that solves this issue - allowing for actual bars on a chart to be selectable (see attachment - selected bar has transparent blue like vertical line spanning across chart panes; note, this is separate from the cross hairs which is also captured in this screenshot but are black and very thin). Further, they allow for ability of this bar "data box" of information to actually be displayed within the chart itself - usually aligned to top left area of chart. I find this ohh so more efficient while doing analysis work with charts. Using data box is only good for quickly viewing data for a bar, but when wanting to highlight a bar so you can refer to it elsewhere on your computer, its nearly useless IMO.

    Attached is screenshot showing this capability of selecting a bar with data for that bar at top left of chart. Would be great to eventually have this feature as well in NT one day

    Thanks for suggestion. Basically, its different cursor type that is fixed based on where you decide to anchor etc.. Correct?

      Its not a different cursor type. You still would have only the three types you currently have:

      * Pointer
      * Cross Hair
      * Global Cross Hair

      Its just a vertical transparent like toggleable selector line that only shows up on chart when you click on a bar (where the color choice would be global option you can choose - see attachment). When you click on the same bar again when that selector line is shown, it then disappears. Choose a different bar and it will toggle back on to highlight bar you chose.

      Finally, AmiBroker, when you link charts, it will also visualize the chosen bar across such linked charts on the screen. Very useful for inspecting same bar time across charts even if they are different timeframes/data series basis. See second attachment for example of this demonstrating a week I chose in February on weekly timeframe and notice the above daily chart synchronizes.
