    blank charts

    charts load blank.

    Using IB, when switching charts, sometimes it just loads nothing. I click on the instrument, and it loads nothing but white space.

    For what symbols and timeframes do you see this? Does it throw any errors to the log tab?

    Also: are you on TWS 898?

      Im using the most recent trader workstation. I log in each day through IB's site and use

      The current version is 899.2

      It seems to happen after i try to change the fib properties. If i change any chart after. its totally blank.

        The supported TWS version is 898 with NinjaTrader.

          Is this only with ninjtrader 7? Cause the newest TWSworks perfectly with 6.5.... and it has for last year.

            This has always been the case for 6.5 too. You could try using newer versions of TWS, but we would not have any guarantee on it working or not working on newer versions.

            Please provide the instrument you were trying to load. Also, to confirm, is it ONLY after touching fibs draw objects? If so, there may be a related bug fix with the next beta version which addresses fibs. Perhaps try again after that and see if the issue persists.

              Yes. i did download 898...did exactly as you said.

              - connected to tws 898
              - changed charts from any symbol (works)
              - draw fib and change fib properties
              - after i draw fibs and hit apply/ok i get the pop up "ninjatrader needs to shut down"
              - hit the cancel button, when i go to load new charts (doesnt matter what the symbol is) it loads blank


              without sounding mean, it seems that this is a LONG way from being finished. its extremely buggy right now with simple tolls such as Fibonacci's not working.

                You are definitely running into the Fib bug then. We have already isolated and fixed it in the next version.

                This is why NT7 was provided to you as a beta. There are bugs and we are ironing them out. Thank you for your efforts and your report.

                  I don't know if this is the right thread, but I am having a similar problem and it's independent of fib bug.

                  I'm trying to isolate the issue. but I am connected to zenfire demo, I have the dom up and it's printing correctly, but when I open a chart, regardless of instrument, it's just blank.

                  I checked
                  SESSION
                  UPDATED HISTORICAL DATA
                  DIFFERENT PERIOD TYPES
                  SINGLE INSTRUMENT, MULTI

                  Just blank.

                  I'm going to shut down and restart NT and see if it resumes. I'll check log file first.

                  :Restarted NT and the chart came up.

                  Not sure what triggered the issue. I started poking around to get ride of trade plotting (that's another story ;-), and then the charts became messed up followed by just being blank no matter what I did.

                    I see your website is using WordPress. Why did you opt to hide the WordPress logo? OpenSource benefits when you share with others what platform you are using.
