Chart times for prior day displayed as session open time

Please look at the screenshot attached.
The time stamps on the bottom of my chart were all set to my session open time (9:30) for the previous days data.

First, I left NT7 running and connected overnight
Second I noticed this AFTER session opened (9:30) and I did not see my session Break bar painted so I clicked data series and changed my "session break bar" to 5 px and still did not see the session break painted

Then I realized that all of the time stamps for the previous day were set to 9:30 ...

I can email support the entire screenshot of the chart if required.

    Mark,

What instrument? What data provider? What time frame chart? If you just open a blank chart with nothing else on it (no indicators, strategies, etc), same results? If you right click, reload historical data, still the same?

      Zenfire.
      TF 12-09

The chart data was correct at 9:20 AM
The timestamps were correct at 9:20 AM.

I checked my charts and finished doing my markups for the prev day ...so I am 99% sure that the "timestamp" at the bottom of the charts were correct at that time.

My session open values are for 9:30.
Something occured at that time to reset/redraw my time stamps from the previous day.

I reloaded all historical data. Same result...

I exited SAVED my WORKSPACE when propmpted and reopened NT 7 my chart was correct when It loaded my workspace. Looks like some bug got triggered on the session open/ bar/data normalization ...

So to clarify, at the end of the day yesterday all timestamps were correct. You left it open overnight and at market open this morning, it changed all the old timestamps to 9:30 for yesterday and then proceeded with correct timestamps today?

I am not sure how that could happen, but if you could confirm that is indeed what you are seeing with tomorrow's session open then we can take a deeper look.

To the best of my understanding, yes you are describing my experience correctly. I have multiple screen shots that I took yesterday and Pre-session this AM and on all of these screen shots the timestamps are correct.

I had no issue until session open when it did not draw my session bar @ 9:30... I said ... humm.. It was strange as the market had opened and I had no session start bar at 9:30. I DID NOT look at the timestamps at that time... I clicked on my data series to make sure the session bar was not transparent or so narrow I could not see it. I changed it to 5 px and clicked ok.

There was still no session bar so I scrolled the chart back and noticed the last session bar was drawn at yesterday open. It was very strange behavior.

I have a screenshot from pre-session that clearly shows the timestamps as being correct. So this occurred after that time and I noticed the issues at approx 9:35 AM just after the session open.

I will leave the application running again tonight and see if anything strange occurs in the am tomorrow.

I will email the chart screenshot to support to your attention. It clearly shows yesterday, today and the data/timestamps

Thanks. Perhaps try with two charts, one with normal session templates, another with 24/7 session template. Maybe that makes a difference? I am not sure.

              Reproduced.

Under totally DIFFERENT circumstances, but it did it again.

At 10:14 my charts were perfectly normal

I took to simulator trades this AM. I was going to mark up and make some comments on my chart so I double clicked the data series and changed
"Plot Executions" from "Do Not Plot" to "Markers Only and clicked "Ok".

              I was on FIXED scaling.

Immediately I noticed that a trend line I had drawn in the pre-open was moved and that my entire chart scaling changed and the screen flashed in a repaint. I went huh? and scrolled the chart back. Tried to adjust the first anchor of the trend line that had so obviously moved...and it simply would not move. I looked at the times on the chart. They were all 9:30 ...so the first anchor could not be anchored to anything besides "9:30" and it was anchored on the first 9:30

I did not do this on a blank chart. I had my indicators on the chart. Josh has access to a copy of my workspace via http that includes my indicators for use with debugging the "databox" thread opened by me.

I left ninjatrader running over night again this time. I will be happy to provide whatever data/workspace or other information is required as well the charts are currently open in ninja on my machine and I have left ninja running. I have gotomeeting installed if there and will leve the app running in current state for next hour or so ..if it is any interest in looking at that comp or checking anything on it in real time. I will trade from my other com and actually attempt to make some trading profits on version 6.5 today!

Hmmm. I am still unable to reproduce/isolate the cause from this scenario.

Is this the step that reproduces it for you?

Clicking OK on the Data Series properties caused the repaint ..that reset the time stamps in both cases.

First time it happened (yesterday) I changed the width of the session break bar

Second time it happened (today) I changed the plot executions value.

NT7 had been running all night and overnight through the session open in both cases.

What session template? Still TF as instrument?

Session template "Mark 24/7 -9:30 start" ( in the workspace I posted to http for the other issue about the DataBox Crash and sent an email to support on)

Exiting NT 7. Saving workspace and Starting the Application up again causes all time stamps to be corrected.

Refreshing historical data...does not rectify the time stamps. You do have to exit the application.
