Equidistant bar spacing, RangeW Bars

Just a thought on non-equidistant bar spacing: I notice that, with non-time-based bars (eg Range Bars), if I have them spaced out appropriately for low-volume times, then the high-volume moments on the same chart are actually overlapping no matter how skinny I make the bars. And vice-versa.

Also, whatever happened to RangeW or RangeAlt bars from 6.5?

I believe the RangeBarAlt type needs a rework to fit into NinjaTrader 7...

The bars can overlap or even be on top of each other since non-time based bars can share the same time stamp. These bars are then plotted on evenly spaced time axis.

RangeAlt was not a system chart type, it was an add on located in our NinjaScript File Sharing section. Its still there however, I am not sure its compatible at this time.

Yes, Ray is correct. I'm posting a screenshot just for other users' information.

When I try to import RangeAlt bars using the code for NT6.5 I get the following message, which I seems to be what you get whenever some code is not compatible with NT7, based on my luck with importing custom indicators so far.

"Import failed. The NinjaScript Archive File may contain duplicate method names that already exist on your PC or there is a required file missing on either your PC or the import archive."

PS Why do I get the black squares whenever my cursor is on a candle? Any way to get rid of this?

The black squares mean that the price plot was "selected" by clicking on it. Click on a blank part of the chart to get rid of them.
