Charts - Two Issues - Data not streaming, and Chart trader not working

    Interesting.
    The chart did not start up with live data at 9:30 (I'll check again at 10:30). Even with a reload.
    But if I open a new chart after the open, I get data for 10/22 starting at 9:00 AM (first bar timestamp (9:01)

        Out of curiosity I tried placing a sim trade for NQ on the chart I opened after the session open (the one that is recieving live data) in the chart trader. The picture is from the chart that has been open overnight.

        The chart trader shows the proper bid/ask, and while the trade was open it showed stop and target orders at the correct price. The screenshot was taken after the trade closed.

          I believe that is correct. Your chart has stopped adding more bars due to session templates. The bid/ask will still update and when you trade it has no where to plot except on the last bar.

            For starters, this not a big issue for me since I use 24 hour charts anyway, I'm just trying to help out in the beta process.

            However, is this really not reproducible on your end like Dierk said?

            It is very consistant on my end. The exact same thing happened after the close today with the chart that I had opened today and was recieving live data all day.

            I'm curious with the other beta testers that have been part of this thread.

              To clarify, what issue are you referring to now? If you are referring to the original, we have not been able to reproduce on current sources. I did manage to get it on NT7B2 version you are using so it could have been fixed.

                I have the same issue as VT. I just loaded the ES chart now (at 1:56 pm PST) on 10/22 and I can only load data up to close (per session template) of 10/21. I have data for 10/22 in the historical data manager.

                As an aside I tried to change the "end date" of the data series to 10/23/09 (1 day forward) to see what difference it made. The only difference this made was to cause NT to crash total. I will send the trace file for this now.

                There is a third also causing issues which are very strange and this is to do with backtesting results and merged contracts. I'll find a good place to post this separately.

                  To clarify,

                  The loading data missing last day one issue I believe may have been fixed in the next beta and please try that one again when it is released.

                  The changing date crashing NT I am unable to reproduce at this time and would like more information as to what exactly you guys are doing with your charts to reproduce.

                          Just reporting back, this issue does indeed seem to be resolved in NT7b3. I got today's data after the close with the RTH template.
