    Unable to cancel backtest

    Beta 10
    Scenario
    - IQ Feed
    - Backtest on on a symbol list (approx 10 symbols in list)
    - Displays backtest dialog for the current symbol
    - Starts downloading data
    - Press abort on the backtest dialog .. Backtesting of this symbol will stop normally
    - However, NT will continue to download data for all the other symbols in the list
    - You cannot stop this. Beta 10 removed the abort button with IQfeed ..

-NT should not continue to download all the other symbols in the list

    - Also .. it appears NT will re-download this data on every backtest, which I don't think is intended.

Correct, since IQFeed does not support an abort logic.

Please see NT6.5 docs->Historical data->"When does NT load historical data" to learn more on NT's internal logic.

I think you missunderstand. I understand that you can't quit iqfeed...

But why does NT continue to backfill the remaining symbols once I've canceled the backtest?

ie, if I have 100 symbols in the list.. cancel the backtest after the 1st symbol starts.. NT will continue to download all the data for the remaining 99 symbols.

That doesn't seem right, as it makes NT unusable until all 99 are filled.

You can not cancel/abort the IQFeed request. Please disconnect and retry, NT then should abort backtesting as you pressed the abort button.

I"m not talking about aborting the IQfeed request.

          I cancel the backtest early.

But NT still continues to download data for symbols that have NOT been and wont be backtested.

Does it send a backfill request for all the symbols in the list at the start of the backfill?

Got it. This bug will be fixed with next update. Thanks for reporting.
