I had sworn off running Ninja under Vista because it demanded so much more RAM than under XP but I tried this new release and it happily runs 30+ charts in less than 500MB! So whatever was done... well done!
Also the startup time seems much improved, this seems to be because it appears to be reading the saved price data from the database much more rapidly.
Finally the workspace issues that had cropped up seem to be fixed. The behavior of the shift+F3 shortcut being able to bring up workspaces that did not appear as open in the Workspace menu is gone. Also flipping from workspace to workspace seems much faster than it has been.
Also the issue with 1440 minute charts and charts that were kept open more than 24 hours seems to be gone. The first time I loaded up my 1440m work spaces I had to go into the usual "Format data series" routine and change from 1 day up to 60 or so but the program allowed me to right click on the charts and do this with no crashing!
Then I shut down Ninja brought it up again and the charts were still ok! They had not been mysteriously changed to show just one day's bar like had been happening with 6.5.09.
Great work guys really! The program seems much more stable and I have been trying to break it connecting and disconnecting from Gain data feed. I have only been testing it for 30 minutes or so so hopefully these results will hold up!
Now the one item of bad news! Once again the EFX/MB Trading connection crash is an issue. If I want to crash Ninja instanly all I have to do is tell it to connect to either my EFX demo or live account. This is under Vista so I am now going to reboot under XP and see how things work out, I will post the results.
Thanks for the great work!
