Error in backup and restore

Hello,

I am using the beta version 6.5.0.9, before updating I run a backup. After updating it does not work. I get an error at restore. It happens even when backing and restoring in the same version. The error I get is:

"NinjaTrader was unable to restore the selected backup archive file: Could not find a part of the path ...\db\data". See attached picture.

I had enter some Forex symbols and I think I have to do it again. It would be nice if we could export/inport at least the symbols to/from text files.

There is a bug in the restore logic which will be fixed with next beta. Thanks for reporting this and for providing your back archive.

backup location

I want to save my backup to a location other than the 'My documents' folder on the local PC. I tried to change the path, but couldn't. In fact the window opened as "restore". Is this a bug or just me?

Just navigate the file dialog to the path you'd like. It works like any other windows file dialog

Backup path

dierk, the problem is more than with the caption. when browsing for the path, the open window comes up with the restore caption (which is ciorrect because it is the restore window that opens). should het a 'save' window.
