    Memory Gobbler

NT 6.5.0.8 is using 1,026,876K of memory when I have a workspace open that has only 5 charts (all are ES) and 1 DOM. Is this normal. It is bogging down my puter. Pls advise Rick

I suggest working through performance tips here: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...anceTips1.html

I'm having problems with memory on beta 9 also. I have 1G of ram. Yesterday with only one chart containing a single indicator Ninja Trader used all available memory and filled my 2 G PFile and stopped. This is the exact same setup I have used with 6.0 without problems.

        Is this a NinjaScript indicator?
If not --> If you remove the indicator, do you still the memory issue?

Ray, Yes it is a NT indicator 'TSI'

I don't see anything in the TSI implementation that would cause memory usage to the degree you reported.

            - What type of chart and how many days back?

Ray, 3 days of data. I may found a non-NinjaTrader code issue that is causing this issue. I'll research further today and get back to you if I can't resolve. Thanks

My memory woes that I have previously posted about returned last Friday.
I am running Vista Home Premium and I have posted here somewhere about how getting a 4GB mem stick and using it for Vista ReadyBoost feature had solved my problem. Indeed Ninja had kept it's RAM use down to 800MB max for weeks.
Suddenly last Friday Ninja was again pushing 1GB of RAM use and my system was bogging down.
Enough was enough, I have given up on Vista for now and have installed an XP partition on my laptop.
As I write this I am now running the exact same workspaces and 14 charts that took a GB under Vista in only 156MB under XP.
                Same exact hardware of course.
                Go figure.
Now I can't wait for the final release! I just don't plan on being able to run it on a Vista box.
