Reproducible bug

Steps:

1. Connect to TT
-No historical data, no backup data provider (tried variations on these settings, had no effect on outcome)

2. Connect to E-Signal

3. Quit App

Crash:
MS Viscual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program D:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\NinjaTrader.exe

abnormal program termination

This crash happens in both 6.0 and 6.5

How do I get the app to dump debugging data to file?

Not reproducible here. I suspect your eSignal setup is corrupted. I suggest uninstalling eSignal and installing latest version from their web site.

More Details

After further poking around, here is what I've discovered.


If I connect to TT first, and then connect to eSignal, this is when I get the crash on exit.

There is no crash at all if

• I Start eSignal first, then TT.
• Start anything first, but then disconnect eSignal first, then TT before quitting.
• Start TT first, disconnect eSignal, but leave TT connected and quit is also fine.

This crash _Only_ happens if

• I connect TT first, and quit without closing eSignal
• I connect TT first, and try to disconnect TT while eSignal is still connected.

Obviously my temporary work around is to remember to disconnect eSignal before I quit the app, since I cannot connect eSignal first every time because then I dont get all the data from the market I get from TT.

This has to an an API bug.

Thanks for additional details. I can reproduce now, but only if NT starts the data manager and not if I start it manually before.

Will send an issue report to eSignal.
