Question NT IO Bytes

Hi...

Just a question....Have always been curious about this but never asked...there is a spike in IO bytes (graph below) every minute in NT...what is this for & about ??

Likely the market data recorder which you have turned on.

Yes...that was it...I shut off "Store Real Time Bar Data" & the spikes disappeared...

Hi Alfred, thanks for your post.

Am curious as a non-Vista user whether the screenshot you included is that of the Vista task manager or is there a way to configure it that way for XP users? I am interested in monitoring to see the results of different objects I am modifying and would like to check out the use of system resources like you have in real time. I've had a scout around the web but haven't found anything that looks like your screenshot?

Hi ....

I still use XP also. The program partially shown in the screenshot is called Process Explorer...it is a free download from Microsoft...

I had to fuss a bit to get an Icon on the desktop for it after downloading.

Once you open it with NT running, just click on the display line for NT and that will open a window for the CPU etc. exclusive to Ninja....or you can also open a CPU window from the tool bar for everything currently running. This program is very handy to show every process running and all about each of them. Much better than the standard XP Task Manager.
