Market Replay Bug?

I notice with NT 6.5.0.4 that MR looks back several days if you have replayed the data/days previously.

For instance, I want to replay 28 Dec only and do Connect/MarketReplay/ 28 Dec... however when the MR window opens it starts from 21 Dec. I can move the slider to 28 Dec however, if I have charts already open, it will run data tick by tick through my indicators all the way from 21 Dec up to the time I select for 28 Dec. This is extremely time/resource instensive as I do a lot of calculations and replaying a whole week of data before I can start on the day I want is a waste of time.

Something has changed with the 6.5.0.4 version I think as MR used to just start on the day you select with no look back.

For clarification...

- Are you saying that you connect to 12/28/07
- You have a chart open from 12/12/07
- You start replay and instead of starting from 12/28 it starts from 12/21?

You started your recording on the 28th correct? I don't believe the Market Replay will splice your replay files into its separate dates. If you just left it on it will aggregate into one big replay file.

I record every day...for months

Everyday after the close I close NT

Every morning I open NT

Since 6.5.0.4 ...in the last couple of days....I connect to MR and select 28 Dec...MR opens and the title bar says 21/12/2007.

To test...I disconnected and connected to MR for 27 Dec....same thing

In both cases, MR starts from 21 dec....see pics....both taken connected to MR for 27 dec

Re charts being open, I just mean that I have my usual workspace open.

For instance, if after the close on the 28th I want to replay the 27th, I would disconnect from zenfire and connect to MR for the 27th....MR opens showing start from 21 dec instead of 27 dec....and if I want to play the 27th, I have to wait for MR to work its way tick by tick through the data from the 21st ....

To get around this, I would close all workspaces, move the MR slider from the 21st forward to the Open for the 27th and then open the workspaces and replay from there....

Of course, MR used to only open on the day selected. This just started happending a couple of days ago in 6.5.0.4 (which I have been running since its release).

Are you recording from DTN/IQFeed? They had some acknowledged issues with timestamps recently.

After reading this thread, I get the impression that you guys are unaware of this issue.

I have had the same problem.

I previously reported it to Jason.

Talk to him, perhaps he can bring you guys "up to snuff".

Funny thing is, 12/21/2007 is the date that comes up on mine. (Coincidence)?

This issue is not the end of the world, but, because there are other limitations with the replay functions, (which I've also reported to Jason), it is very very time consuming on the user's end of things to replay the date and exact times wanted.
