IB Advance/Decline

I see an entry regarding new charting support for IB AD-NYSE. How do we get it to chart? Is there a special symbol name for it like other platforms? Do we need to do anything special to extract the data from the bid and ask, or does NT transparently take care of this?

You would first need to add it to the Instrument Manager. I am not sure what the exact symbol mapping you will need to use is, but you could try AD-NYSE?

I tried the ADD symbol in the Index section of the Instrument manager but it didnt work so AD- NYSE maybe worth trying

I added a new instrument and mapped it to Interactive brokers AD-NYSE, brought up the chart and got zip!, nothing, blank chart. Can someone in Ninja Support talk to the developer who worked on this, and ask them how to configure it ???

- Connect to IB
- Open a chart
- Select ADD

In a few seconds a chart should start building. You will NOT see historical data for this instrument IB does not treat this symbol as a standard symbol and there is some workaround logic in NT to get the correct data values to plot in real-time.

May I request to put it on the features back log. I put various indicators on the A/D volume, and actually find that combining it with certain indicators make it more useful in predicting market movement then the A/D issues itself

No we do not.
