import from v6 after install v6.5

During the first run of v6.5, I mistakenly selected "no" when asked if i wanted to import my v6 stuff. not sure why, but i did want to import v6. to try and get back the prompt to import, i uninstalled and reinstalled v6.5, but it didn't come back. how can i get my stuff from v6 to v6.5? is there a way to get the import prompt back?

Try this -

- Shut down NT6.5
- Manually delete the file My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\log\install.xml
- Restart

Importing files to 6.5

When Ninja came out with 6.0, all the custom indicators had to be rewritten from 5.0.

I just tryed to import an indicator from the indicator forum and it would not go into 6.0. Another member informed that it would only work in 6.5.

Is this going to be the case again, rewritting code form 6.0 to work in 6.5.

Please tell me it ain't so.

Most cases it is not so. 99.99% of NT6 indicators should be compatible with 6.5.

Templates

Can we use chart templates and strategy templates from ver 6 with Ver 6.5 and how do you get them into v6.5 ?

On first startup of NT6.5 you optionally can migrate your NT6 stuff. Just check database and templates.
