    Session Times

    I understand that Session times can run over 24 hours with 6.5 however, in the Chart Properties window any change to session times is not accepted and times just default back to 12:00 AM/12:00 AM settings

    Is there a new place Session times get changed or is this the correct place and 6.5 has an issue here?

    Thanks

    This is the correct location.

    Make sure you do not use millitary time convention.

    Use 2:15 PM not --> 14:15 PM

      Ah - that did it - thanks Ray.

      Perhaps the defaults should be 00:00 as in a chart which runs across midnight the Daybreak lines are drawn in at 00:00 and not at 12:00 AM which is midday....

        00:00 and 12:00 AM are equivalent, except that 00:00 is military time, which I guess NinjaTrader doesn't support.

          Chart Properties will NOT accept time in this format and defaults back to 00:00

            session times must not be placed on chart properties window but on instument manager's /edit instrument instead so when a user changes
            symbol on a chart doesn't have to change sessions also.............

                Session Time MST and Bar timer

                I am located in time zone MST which is -2 hours of EST. For 24 hour session time the correct chart settings to match EST market times would appear to be start at 10:00 pm and end at 9:59 pm. In doing so the bar timer fails to function reporting that the current time is outside session time????

                Thank you

                    For a 24 hour chart I am using start session at 10:00 pm and end session at 9:59 pm. In doing so the indicator bar timer fails to function reporting that the current time is outside session time????

                        The problem with sessions spanning over midnight and BarTimer indicator is solved and the solution will be available in the next release of NinjaTrader 6.5.
