What's the rationale for making it so I can't use NT unless I login? You're eventually going to force us into a subscription service, I'm guessing?
-
not being able to even use charts offline is just unacceptable. is there a way to use the platform offline without logging in?
are we not allowed to do homework on our charts over the weekend?

Notwithstanding the forced log in debacle generating significant bad will, eventually NT added a Service Status page (only in response to User pressure, & that other service providers offer), and now we have planned maintenance but don’t plan to put the Notification on the Service Status BEFOREHAND resulting in this here and hours of wasted customers’ time (something NT demonstrates continual disdain toward imho)

I've just installed on a new machine because the last one is failing and I can't get in for the important setting up my environment and indicators etc.

Your trading hours templates are kept in [Documents]\NinjaTrader 8\templates\TradingHours. Go see if you have an extra copy of one of the files in that folder.
Here are some of the trading hours template files related to your error message that I have in my folder and my NT loads fine.

As for FutureMillionaire2413 , this is a result of Duplicate files on your PC as BarzTrading suggested and is NOT related to this forum thread.- To resolve this behavior:
- Close NinjaTrader
- Go to the Documents Folder > NinjaTrader 8 > templates > Risk, click and drag this folder and drop it on your desktop
- Now, reopen NinjaTrader and test if the error continues, if yes, you may need to do this for the "TradingHours" and "Commission" folders as well.
- If you look at the error, it will specify either duplicate Risk, Trading Hours, and/or Commission templates. That is what lets us know which folder to pull out.
- After pulling the folders out, reopen NinjaTrader and these messages should be gone.
- If you still have further questions after the steps above, please create a New Forum Post, or write into NinjaTrader support directly using the Help > Email Support button.
