    Many bars missing when connecting to IB

    Hi,

    I am connecting my live IB account to NinjaTrader

    When I open a chart of MNQ 12-24 one minutes bar

    Several hours of bars are missing, the bar jump from 08:00 to 22:28 why?

    How to load the chart correctly?

    Below is the screenshot, thanks

    Thank you for reaching out.

    If you are seeing gaps in data:

    Please go to Tools-> Options -> Market Data-> under Global Merge Policy, select "/Merge back adjusted".

    Apply the change, then go back to your chart, right click on your chart and select the option that says "Reload all historical data".

    If this does not work, additionally :

    Clear old historical and cache data by doing the following:

    - Shut down NinjaTrader 8

    - Go to the 'Documents/NinjaTrader 8/db' folder of your computer

    - Delete the files inside the 'cache', 'day', 'minute', and 'tick' folders.

    - Important: Do not remove any other files inside the NinjaTrader 8 Documents folder.

    -Restart your PC

    When you restart NinjaTrader 8, you may notice a slightly longer initial load time as all of your historical chart data is re-downloaded, but your overall performance should be better.

      Hi

      the date was yesterday, so the merged or not merged should not have any effect since it was not rollover day
      But I tried it anyway, it was the same

      I tried to removed all data you said, and restart, the same
      I am in PST timezone, this is the screenshot right now

        Thank you for your message.

        Please confirm your TWS version.

        When using an Interactive Brokers account to connect to NinjaTrader, you must use the version of Trader Workstation or IB Gateway that is specified within the NinjaTrader — Interactive Brokers Connection Guide seen below:

        Once you have the version of Trader Workstation or IB Gateway as specified above, connect to your account within TWS or IB Gateway.
        • After you are connected in TWS or IB Gateway, you are then able to connect to the account within NinjaTrader.


        From here connect to your account and test if the charts are updating.

        If the charts are still not updating properly, please use the steps below to reset the instruments:
        1. Disconnect from any data providers by navigating to the Control Center > Connections menu, and left-click on “disconnect” that appears to the right when hovering your mouse over any active connection
        2. Reset your instruments by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
        3. In the Database Management window, under the “Update instruments” section, ensure that “General properties”, "Futures expiries" and “Symbol mappings” options are checked and then click Update
        4. Restart NinjaTrader


        Reopen NinjaTrader and connect to your account/data and test if the charts are updating.
        • If they are still not updating, please let us know so we may look into the behavior further.
