Ninjatrader Desktop on Snapdragon X CPU

    Hi all,

I'm thinking about buying a Microsoft Surface laptop specifically for trading, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience running the Ninjatrader Desktop on Snapdragon X CPU? I heard about possible compatibility issues with x86 applications running through Prism emulator on ARM platforms.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello dtichkev,

    Thank you for reaching out.

This post will stay open for users who may have input/experience with this.

In general, as long as your system meets the minimum requirements, you should be able to run NT8 without issues. For your reference, NT8 no longer uses the Program Files (x86), instead it is now installed in Program Files.

Thank you, Erick! I wanted to report back that I got my new Surface laptop yesterday and installed and tried Ninjatrader - it's running just fine. This may be useful to other guys in the community.

Hello hows it going with the Snapdragon? Is your Surface running cool no fan noise all day battery? Any noticeable overhead with emulation? I waited for Lunar Lake but on not sure its all that really.
