how to measure performance impact of indicators?

Ninjatrader takes 10-30 seconds to fully load. I have 3 days of data per chart, and 9 charts (many tabbed). How can I measure what chart and indicator takes up the most time to process?

    Hello mmike,

    Thank you for the message.

You can use the NinjaScript Utilization Monitor to measure indicator impact and look at what could be slowing down the workspace.
    To Reduce impact:
    • If any indicators jumped to the top of the NinjaScript Utilization Monitor, then remove them from the workspace and see if performance improves
      • If yes, then you will want to reach out to the developer of those add-ons and ask for further tips and suggestions on how to reduce their impact
    • You could also create a new workspace from scratch while being aware of the Performance and also utilizing the Tips and Suggestions from the following Help Guide:

Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.

ChartObject Text is persistently increasing in Total time. It's an indicator I wrote myself that draws and hides crossovers using text. I would imagine it's normal for this to keep increasing as it's detecting crossovers across multiple charts, right? Or is it a memory leak in the indicator?

If I let the utilization monitor run 9 minutes I have a total from all the calculationsof al indicators of 3540 ms.
        9 minutes equal 540,000 ms. So 3540ms/540000=0.7%.
Does this mean that my cpu has still plenty of room for more calculations and more indicators?
I have no clue what this 3540 ms means in performance.
