Purchasing and Importing Data from TickData LLC

Hi,

I am looking to purchase Tick data that spans back to 2018 from TickData LLC. I see that you guys have some documentation on importing that data into NinjaTrader. However, I have a question regarding whether I need to purchase all Level 1 Quotes & Trades from TickDATA or if I can just purchase the Tick Trades option and then import that into NinjaTrader. Could you please give me information on which will work best for backtesting automated trading strategies that utilize Range Bars?

Any information that is provided will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for the message.

Unfortunately, we do not have any documentation or information on the data provided by another company. We only have the steps and documentation to import it into the NinjaTrader Platform.

For the Historical Data to work with the Playback connection, you must have the Historical Tick Data.

• We have no documentation on what kinds of data either of the things you suggested include.

It would be up to you to test one and if it didn't work, try the other.
