Licensing question

Hello,

I understand that this issue may have been covered already in this forum, but i just could not find the exact answer.
I have NT for some years, and have a license key that supports multi-broker and live trading. I use it to trade on my account in IB.
When i'm at home i use my desktop for trading, and when i'm on the go i use my laptop. That's it, very simple.
Recently I made an upgrade to NT 8.1.1.6 on my laptop. I understand that my key was somehow migrated, but nowI don't even know if my NT installation on my laptop has live trading enabled.
It does not show anything. In the "about" box it shows the following "entitlements": Order Flow+, Multi Broker, AMP. No key, no live trading...
I tried to open an account to access that "dashboard" where the key is supposed to appear. I've created a login/password, and now presented with "open an account" screen, which apparently leads to opening an account with NT broker. However, I'd like to continue trading with IB. There's no dashboard there.

Please guide me through the steps necessary for upgrading my setup to the latest version. Alternatively, please let me know if it's possible to downgrade.

In 8.1 you enter your License in your account portal and just need a user name and password to log in. In 8.0 it was required to enter license. You can use 8.1 or 8.0 as you wish. Both links to download are in your account portal.

How do I enter this account portal? I log into NT 8.1 with my google account credentials. When I go here https://account.ninjatrader.com/welcome and log in with the same google account, I get a "get started" page with an "open account" button.
Also, I noticed that if i log into NT 8.1 with other credentials that i've created, i don't get these "entitlements" in the About screen anymore. Is my key already in the system, and somehow connected to my e-mail address?

I am not sure about Google. All you need for the portal is a username and password. This was started back last November.

I have never used Google to login. Just my uername and password created last year when they started migrating accounts. Once in the portal is when you enter the lifetime license key.

I don't think it makes a difference, but I've tried to create user/pass and login with these. I can login to NT 8.1. How do I get to the portal?

Hello gena72,

You can access the Account Dashboard at the link provided below:

• https://account.ninjatrader.com/

If you do not have a Username and Password you can register at the link provided below:

• https://account.ninjatrader.com/register

Once registered when opening NinjaTrader Desktop you will need to enter the Username and Password you used when registering.
