Free Sim re latest v8.1.1.x re older v8.0.26.x or v8.27.x

I'm getting a bit lost with how to access a 14 day free trial.


Using the instructions from this link :-

Am I correct to say the 14 day free trial can only be on v8.1.1.x or v8.0.27.x ?

Meaning if I presently have an earlier v8.0.26.x then I can't get a 14 day free trial for that version ?


I would have to register via the above link and then download either the v8.0.27.x or latest v8.1.1.x in order to get a 14 day free trial ?

Thank you for your post.

Yes, actually the demo is only available with 8.1.1.2. You would have to register at account.ninjatrader.com once registered you will be able to access a 14-day demo account that you will be able to use with the latest version of the platform. Since the launch of 8.1 we no longer have availability to provide demos for any version prior to the new release.

If I download the latest v8.1.1.x will that overwrite my existing v8.0.26.x ?

If so then I wont be able to go back to my older version if, for what ever reason, I don't want the latest version ?

If the above is correct then can I save the older v8.0.26.x Ninjatrader.Install.msi file and re-install that after having downloaded a latest version ?
