Kinetick connection failed

    Thank you for the post.

    We see in your diagnostic files the same error you received:

    020-04-22 12:29:50:600|0|2|Kinetick: Unable to authenticate: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to

    This means you were unable to reach the specific Kinetick servers.

    This inability to connect does not necessarily mean you have bad internet. Instead it means your network cannot reach a specific path. Often restarting your PC and your modem/router will reset the paths and allow you to connect.

    Hello Marco,

    I'm still confused. I trade live on this setup and I would not like this to happen again.

    I don't think that the connection here is intermittent as I was online all day and did not have any issues with other sites. I also immediately when running into the issue connected to IB gateway without any problems.

    I would really appreciate if you could look into my log and trace files and tell me if I could run into the issue again.

    PS: I also noticed that US markets were closed when I tried to connect, could that have anything to do with it?

    Thanks for your reply.

    I am glad to hear this was resolved. I didn't do anything on my end. I suspect you may have been having some intermittent connectivity to the connection. I had my Kinetick connection up and running this morning with no issue.

    Please let me know if you experience the same again in the future.

    I'd like to take a look at your log and trace files for this issue. These files contain diagnostic information related to what is occurring on your platform that will help us resolve this issue in a timely manner.

    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with "2517473 ATTN Marco G" in the subject line and a link to this forum post in the message body so I may investigate this matter further.

    Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
    Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    Once you have emailed these to us, you may delete these compressed folders.

    Kinetick connection failed

    Hello,

    I have a connection issue with Kinetick after moving to a different home. PC, NT8 installation, live license, logins to KT are all the same only the ISP is different (but still fiber).

    Yesterday I had an error but could connect on a second attempt. Today I only get error messages when trying to connect.

    First: "Unable to authenticate: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond" followed by a number.
    Then: "Error in opening connection Kinetick, exception caught: One or more errors occurred. (Panic)"

    If this is of any help, I can connect to IB gateway.

    Any help with this issue would be great!
