How To Make FXCM Coexist With Kinetick And IB

I have a multibroker NT license. I have a Kinetick account that I use, for now, just for futures trading in conjunction with IB. For Forex, I use FXCM.

How do I:

1) Get live forex data from FXCM instead of having NT try to get it from Kinetick (my current Kinetick account does not have forex enabled) or IB?
2) How do I insure that forex trades go through FXCM and not IB.

Note that I currently connect to Kinetick first, IB second, and then FXCM.

To have forex data to come from FXCM first you will need to connect to FXCM then Kinetick then IB.
When submitting orders if you are wanting orders to go to FXCM you will need to select the FXCM account. If you want and order to go to Interactive Brokers you will need to select the Interactive Brokers account.

Hello,

You can select your forex account from the account drop down.
Please go to the File menu in the control center and uncheck "Global Simulation Mode".
Now when you open up an order entry window you should be able to toggle between your Live account and the Sim 101 account.

Still A Problem

Ok. I have changed my setup so FXCM start first, followed by Kinetick and then IB.

Now however, I noticed today while live testing a strategy for ES futures (which I use Kinetick for) the Strategy display shows that the system is using my FXCM connection instead if Kinetick. This doesn't make sense since I assume FXCM isn't feeding me ES futures data.

Note that the strategy tester is working (entering and exiting trades). It's just confusing that NT is telling me it's using FXCM for data.

Any thoughts?

This happens because FXCM is connected first, which is how NinjaTrader is recognizing your connection when multiple connections are connected.

I have alerted our development team about this who have let me know they are aware of this and considering changes for this in the next major version of NinjaTrader.
