Problems configuring email settings

Hi,

I cannot get the email setup to work and would appreciate some help - after entering my gmail email account settings I get a message "Failed to send email: You must setup your email account settings". I have tried other email account settings as well as leaving the entry fields blank, with the same result. If you can assist with what settings should be used to allow the email option to work, it would be much appreciated.
