Hello Fersami,
Please send screenshots of the Instrument Editor where the Stock specifications are entered and the pop-up message itself.
Furthermore, what version of NinjaTrader do you have installed? Our current release is V7.0.1000.22 which you can check under Help--> About.
Lastly, are you connected to a datafeed provider? If so, which one? Check in the lower left corner of the control center to check this.

Hello Vince,
Plz can you let me know what screenshot you would like to see. The Expiry date arrow is grey out.
The error you must select an expiry date is in a popup.
Regards,
Samir

I am also getting this same problem on NT7.
When I try adding a symbol like IDFC , via the "<" in instrument manager it says, you must select an expiry.
All other data is correct.. Somehow it think that it's an Option even when it's a stock selected.
Any comments.

Yes I have selected Index. Get TICK, TICKDJ, TICKQ as Index. Same problem at all.
"You must select an expiry date"

You should be able to setup Index data in NinjaTrader and IB.
There is already an Index Type that's setup by default called TICK.
Please make sure you're using the Type Index and not type Futures and it should allow you to add.

If it's asking for an Expiry, it would have been misconfigured as a Futures.
For me to better assist, can you please clarify who you connect to for data? This is displayed in the bottom left hand corner of the NinjaTrader Control Center.

Problem to add ^TICK Index in instrument manager
I have a problem. I cannot add the TICK Index instrument to any list in the instrument manager.
I do the that:
- Open "Instrument Manager"
- Select / Highlight "TICK" in the "Available Master Instrument" list. (either via search or select from list)
- In the "Exchange" droplist, select "Default"
- Click on "Left Arrow" to transfer it to any of the instrument list
However, an error window would pop up saying, "You must select an expiry date".
But its an Index!
"Expiry" droplist is greyed out.
I have "Reset Instruments" in Options/Data - nothing.
I use NT7 with Interactive Brokers.
