Charts not loading in workspace

I have saved the workspace, but when I re-open it charts are not loading. I have to New-Chart each time. What am I doing wrong?

Hi fttrdr,

If you open a workspace but nothing happens, this means the workspace is saved with no charts loaded. This could be because you saved it this way or NT is not shutdown properly.

Once you create you charts, save a workspace using File > Workspace > Save Workspace.

If you are concerned about losing a good working workspace, you can create a backup file that can be restored if there issues in the future. The following two links can help you work with workspaces and NT's backup feature.

ryan,I read somewhere that the charts cannot be saved and opened if you are trading on demo account,I had same problem and now i do not x out of charts I exit out of workspaces and the charts are there next time around.
I originally saved in templates but charts would open with 150 tick instead of 340,578 tick that I created.Please confirm whether this is correct.

There is no limitation with workspaces when using any of NTs licenses.

Chart templates do not preserve the interval applied to charts. They save the indicators applied, visual settings, and chart properties.

Interval can only be preserved by saving workspaces. If you are having any issues saving a chart to a workspace file, please send an email to support 'at' ninjatrader 'dot' com.
