CQG Trader & Ninja Trader Connection error

Hi There

I am trying to set up ninja trader to work with CQG Trader. I have set up the connection as per the guide but I am getting the error message " Login failed: Invalid/Unauthorized Private Label", any one have any idea why this is ?

Hello GKonheiser,

Can you please tell me if you have an account with one of our supported broker partners that uses the CQG technology.

Please note that it is not supported to connect NinjaTrader to CQG Trader - you can only connect to the CQG data feed in NinjaTrader.

I suspect the CQG username and password you have cannot be used for a CQG connection in NinjaTrader. I suggest to contact CQG for clarification if you can use your CQG login credentials in software such as NinjaTrader to setup a CQG connection.

Our current clearer is NewEdge. I am looking to automate a system from ninja in to the CQG API , is this not possible?

Hello Gordon,

Unfortunately NewEdge is not a supported broker partner with NinjaTrader. You can only connect to a CQG connection with a supported broker partner.

So it would be the same if I had Trading Technologies with them,I also would not be able to Automate a system?

To clarify...

- CQG for NinjaTrader is only available through AMP Global Clearing and any of its introducing brokers
- Newedge is currently not a supported TT for NinjaTrader partner. Should they wish to become one, they would need to contact us for details.

We have an account with IB so I will probably go down that route to start. Where can I find a list of supported brokers?
