Recording data for market replay

Can I record market data for Replay using the Market analyser? I have been using either a chart or Dom to record data to try out other markets, but it gets messy. I was wondering if the Market analyzer, would create replay data as well.

Thank you for your post.


The Market Analyzer can be used to record incoming market data.
Be sure to check the option, 'Record for market replay' and add the instruments you would like to record to the Market Analyzer.

Thanks Cameron, I use 6.5 for trading, but I'm assuming it's the same. I have been using Market replay for a long time, but only recently started recording other markets than the ES. Being able to use the Market Analyzer window to record different instruments will be a lot easier. Is there a limit to how many instruments I can record, or is that dictated by IB, my broker?

As far as I know there is no limitation on how many instruments you can have open in the MA. However, keep in mind the more data you're requesting, the more resources will be used.
