    Indicator Not Displaying

A colleague and I built two custom oscillators that we have been using for a month now. Inexplicably, when I loaded up NT last night to track the open of the FOREX, the oscillators didn't work properly.

Specifically, one of the oscillators will not display when set on any number between 4 minutes and 25 minutes. The other oscillator will not display when set on and in between 3 and 9 minutes. That is a rough estimate... on some instruments the 2nd oscillator (******er I) displays all the time. I loaded up NT on my 2nd computer, and the oscillators worked fine.

I have already tried deleting and importing the files again. I have also tried messing with every single changeable setting in the Indicators menu. Have you experienced this before? Do you have a solution?

Attached is a chart showing the problem.

    Thank you!

    Hello fury661,

Can you please right click in the chart and select 'Reload NinjaScript'.

If the issue persists, does it make a difference if you close the current chart and open up a new one via File-->New-->Chart?

check the LOG tab as it will show any random errors.

          Hi ct1942,

          Thank you for your post.

To load a custom indicator you will want to first import it into NinjaTrader. Please go to File-->Utilities-->Import NinjaScript and then select the saved indicator .zip file to begin the importation process. Please see the following link for more information.

Then you can add the indicator, just like any other to a chart by going to File-->New-->Chart and then formatting the data series. Right click in the chart-->Indicators and then select the indicator to add and hit the New button. Please see the link below.

              Hi,

After adding the .cs file to the folder that you specified you will need to compile the indicator.

To compile the indicator please go to Tools-->Edit NinjaScript-->Indicator. Select the ADL indicator and then click the OKbutton. This will open that indicators NinjaScript and then right click and select compile.

When you compile one indicator it compiles them all and thus doing this will enable you to view that indicator that you placed in the folder.
