stuck Peding order on Sim101 account

    stuck Peding order on Sim101 account

    Hi,

    There were some sim orders i was testing. For some reasons the ninjatrader crashed, and next time its backup, all orders are gone except this last pending order.

    I tried to go to account - right click sim101 - property,- reset . It is still there.

    Is there another way to fix it?

    What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.38 or 8.0.13.1)

        The first thing I see is your version of NT7 is pretty outdated. I suggest first upgrading to the current version(7.0.1000.38) and then resetting the SIM account. Please follow my steps below to accomplish these two things.

        Note: Following these steps will not affect your data, settings, configuration, Indicators, Strategies, Workspaces, etc.
        • First, save your license key to a document
        • You can locate your license key by going to Help> License Key
        • Now exit NinjaTrader and uninstall it within Windows Control Center
        • Once uninstalled you can redownload NinjaTrader from the link below
          http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
        • Paste your license key
        • Select Submit
        • Download and then run the installer
        • Start NinjaTrader
        • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools> Options> Simulator.
        • Press the 'Reset' button.
          If you do not want to lose your trade data, uncheck the 'Clear history' box (This must be left checked when wanting to remove a stuck sim order)


        Let me know if these steps do not resolve the stuck order.

          How do I backup my workspace and other custom stuff before i do the uninstallation?

            If you would like to backup your files please see the following public links for Backing Up and Restoring NinjaTrader. Please note that uninstalling is not going to remove your workspaces or custom items.

              Ok. thought uninstall will remove everything.

              Let me try your steps to fix the dead orders.

                Hi,

                After uninstall, reinstall, and log in again, it still shows Pending order there. Same pending order as before.

                Any other solution?

                  I suggest renaming your database file to resolve the stuck order. To rename your database please follow the steps below.
                  1. Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
                  2. Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> DB--> NinjaTrader.SDF.
                  3. Right click on NinjaTrader.SDF and select "Rename." *Name it "OLDNinjaTrader.SDF."
                  4. Then restart the software and NinjaTrader will create a fresh database file to use

                  Unfortunately the following items stored in the old database will be lost - ATM Strategy templates, Session templates, Instrument Lists / Custom Instruments, historical trade execution data, saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results
